For the week that I was there, it was nonstop. The bar and restaurant complex was modern and well used.
Rated There is also a wide range of drinks at the bar including a cocktail of the day (the soleil plage cocktail is delicious!). Restaurant with regional products, pizzeria, take away, bar & a minimart. A final point, it was a pity that( remote as the campsite is) the owners chose to close the restaurant and shop...surely a reduced menu should have been on offer?? Rated In summer there’s lots to entertain all ages, from the impressive pool complex to mini-golf and fishing.Canoe hire is available onsite, and a gentle paddle down the river is very pleasant. Plage de Caudon, Vitrac Not only is Vitrac the owner of a pretty medieval village, it also boasts a long sandy beach and comes complete with pretty islands, shady trees and a Gibraltar-shaped rock. Whilst some people did reserve sunbeds (which is inconsiderate when its busy,) at lunchtimes the staff asked everyone to go back to their sunbeds and if one was empty, they removed the towels folded them up and left them for the owners to collect - genius!! Campsite La Bouysse de Caudon is a campsite with 142 touring pitches. the buzz of the restaurants and the street entertainers is superb. We stayed on this site for 10 nights at end of May beginning of June as part of our tour up through France from Spain. Having inspected it on foot we found it to be totally enclosed by a 6ft hedge (as were most of the pitches) and shaded by trees.
The site is lovely, very clean and well kept, in a lovely location.

Yes I would visit here again but only in low season, we travelled on the Eurotunnel, I would suggest a halfway stopover at Camping Olivet (lovely site) as quite a long journey. See you in 2020. The position is quite stunning, on the banks of the river and right in the heart of the Dordogne.
