This is a rare chance to stay on an undeveloped island. They have a small dock and a place to launch kayaks or a small boat. I usually park at the north beach lot and walk the north end of the beach all the way to the lagoon. They are so small they got into the tent. Very wooded area.

It's not too crowded, facilities are well maintained, and the beach is awesome! I camp in a tent and so having clean bathrooms that are really essential and these were exceptional. Only bad thing is , it's so popular that it is full 365 days a year! I knew it was going to be hot but we went for it anyways. It is a state park and as such with the political climate as it is with what our elected leaders feel our taxes should be used for and natural, state parks aren't one of them....there is a $5 charge for two of us to enter; well worth the cost!
